Purpose: The Ops Processor Sr. is responsible for a variety of tasks with the Administration Values Dept. The primary purpose of this position is to support the processing of Life and Health Claims. Duties require 75% administrative tasks and 25% telephone work (both incoming and outbound calls.)
Organizational Structure: This position reports to manager in a department of 7. There is significant interaction with both internal and external customers.
Essential Functions
1. Support Claim department by analyzing and correcting system errors produced from claim payments, including accounting entries.
2. Assist in the reconciliation of accounts assigned for claims accounts, unclaimed property, or matured endowments.
3. Maintain various reports and documentation related to the administration service area.
4. Communicate with internal and external clients to resolve issues related to admin values.
5. Process various administration value transactions within multiple applications.
6. Assure accuracy of all sources for 1099 reporting completed by Administration Services area. Research inquiries and make corrections as necessary.
7. Research, evaluate, and monitor various administrative reports, including accounting reports.
8. Other duties as assigned by management. Requirements:
1. One to two years' relevant experience in the insurance industry preferred.
2. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Bachelors Degree preferred.
3. Knowledge of AGNIS or VFLEX systems preferred.
4. Strong oral and written communication skills and customer service technique.
5. Ability to use sound judgment and make decisions. Must have initiative to take responsibility for work assigned and complete it with minimal supervision.
6. Must be highly organized with ability to change priorities in order to meet unit's goals during peak periods of heavy work volume.
7. Strong PC skills including Word and Excel. Ability to learn new systems as required. Must be able to type at least 35 WPM. American International Group, Inc. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
