Job Description
The Level 3 Support Engineer should be able to field all service requests that level 1 or 2 support technicians are unable to resolve in the technical areas listed below.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' WAN / LAN infrastructure support experience
Technical team lead experience a plus.
Technical Skills Required
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Patch Management, WAN, LAN, VPN, Terminal Services, VMware, Windows Server, Wireless Configuration, Exchange, Office 365, Active Sync
Technical Skills Desired
Experience with PSA Ticketing system (ConnectWise a plus)
Remote monitoring & management tools (N-central a plus)
Certifications (Microsoft & VMware a plus)
Visio (Network Diagrams)
Experience with Mac OS
Microsoft operating systems & applications in a virtual environment
Industry / client specific applications
Advanced network support: WAN and LAN connectivity, network devices & security
Active Directory change requests
Backup & disaster recovery solutions
End user remote access issues: VPN, Terminal Services
Additional Responsibilities
Scheduled maintenance tasks
After Hours
Work with dispatch & other team members to resolve issues within SLA's
Make recommendations for process improvement
Assist dispatcher with call over flow & monitor service boards for new tickets when dispatch is unavailable
New hardware setup
Some local travel to client sites (reimbursable)
Keep customers informed of incident progress
Enter time in ticketing system in real time
Documentation of new or modified configurations
Work with vendors as required to remediate incidents
Handle tickets escalated from other team members

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
