Translation Project Manager, Amazon Retail Customer Service Support

As translation project manager in Amazon Retail Customer Service, you will be part of an international and cross-vertical team that collaborates closely across time zones to support and manage translations for customers and customer service associates.
You will help shape the experience of millions of Amazon customers and the agents that support them.

Responsibilities:
Create projects in the Amazon Translation Management System, including checks for requirements like correct file formats and encoding.
Set correct expectations with translation customers and vendors for turnaround and quality.
Support the arbitration process between translators and translation reviewers as needed.
Ensure correct project closure in the system.
Provide first-level support and perform routine technical administration tasks in our translation management system (TMS), like creating new users or templates.
Continuously develop subject-matter expertise and program management experience by contributing to projects in our translation programs, like user education, machine translation research, terminology management, expansion support or new customer onboarding.
Identify and implement strategies to improve processes or tools where needed.
Form strong interpersonal relationships and influence without authority in a multi-cultural environment.
A day in the lifeYour daily work will include managing all aspects of the translation workflow for internal customers as part of a follow-the-sun assignment rotation, providing localization and vendor management advice to partner teams, supporting users all across Customer Service in their use of translation technology, and supporting strategic initiatives and expansions.
You are a self-starter who thrives in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment and your analytical mind will allow you to understand technical details and identify the best solution quickly, and make the right trade-offs between cost, quality and speed in a customer-focused way.
