Instructor, Computer Networking - 9/10 Month Term POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned.
Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences.
Utilize the college's learning management system to provide course materials to students.
Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class.
Regularly check your NSCC email and your departmental mailbox.
Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend.
Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar.
Serve as academic advisor to students as assigned.
Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in a related information technology discipline with relevant occupational experience in network administration Ability to teach a variety of computer networking courses Experience with Cisco and Microsoft operating systems administration and security Current Cisco Instructor Certification or the ability to obtain after hire PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in a related information technology discipline (OR) a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a related information technology discipline Recent industry certifications in CCNA, CompTIA Network
and/or A
or Cisco Instructor Collegiate level teaching experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

$40,000 to $49,720 annually, depending on experience Special Instructions to Applicants:
