7 Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Job Summary The Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products, recording quality results.
This position is supervised daily by a Quality Assurance Manager and reports to the Operations Manager.
Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to lead men or production supervisor.
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
Keeps measurement equipment operating properly by handling and utilizing properly and communicating the need for repairs when necessary.
Reads blueprints and interpret specifications.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and learning new skills to aid in the inspection process.
Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing required tasks as needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements Minimum of 2 years prior experience in a quality position or related field, preferably in the metals industry Prior experience in an industrial warehouse environment, preferably in the metals industry Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Other Skills and Abilities Knowledge of ISO-9001, QS-9000, TS-16949, ISO-14000 standards Strong computer skills, specifically MS Suite and Adobe Ability to work with limited supervision.
Must be detail oriented.
