This position will travel 60-70% across our footprint of 26 locations in 8 states and work with the VP of Operations and our Regional Director to develop and audit safety and compliance practices.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a culture of safe practices and processes with strong employee engagement and development.
The ideal candidate must be able to work with a diverse and culturally mixed staff as well as client leadership among many departments.
A sense of urgency and the desire to produce results are a key factor in selecting the right candidate for the position.

WHAT WILL YOU DO? Develop and execute health and safety plans in our warehouses according to company guidelines.
Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to policy and procedures.
Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention.
Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations.
Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions.
Conduct on-site company assessments to evaluate risk and compliance to internal company safety policies and government regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred; 5 years' experience in safety role in lieu of advanced degree.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong and trusting relationships with operational leaders.
Experience conducting safety audits or assessments.
Strong analytical skills with an inclination to accuracy and attention to detail Working knowledge for incident reporting and tracking methods and systems.
