That is where our superintendents step in.
The job of a project superintendent encompasses many things, but at the end of the day it is up to them to ensure the project is moving onward and upward.
Below is a list of details on what some of a superintendents responsibilities are; ? Work on daily scheduling for any MCR workers on their site (Laborer and Foremen).
? Communicate with subcontractors and vendors after initial contracts/purchase orders have been setup by the project manager.
? Work closely with the project manager to ensure the project is going to plan, and communicate any deviation from the plan as soon as possible.
The superintendent/project manager communication is key to the role.
? Filling out daily project logs on what happened throughout the day.
? Ensuring materials are onsite BEFORE they are needed, anticipating workers/subcontractors needs as much as possible.
? Ensuring jobsite safety through close coordination with MCR's safety officer.
? Logging of time/expenses in MCR's tracking softwares (Quickbooks Time, Expensify).
