Director of Oncology Nurse Educator, SOUTHEAST REGION includes (SC, NC, TN, MS, AL, GA, FL) field-based role, (remote, home-based).

This role is accountable for leading the U.

Oncology Nurse Education team to establish team priorities, meet success metrics, align key organizational stakeholders, and deliver on approved strategic objectives.
Essential Functions Provide leadership to the Oncology Nurse Educator team to enable the successful delivery of program objectives Collates insights with cross-functional team to identify scope and priority of educational needs as part of geography plan Define a strategy to meet program objectives.
Cross-functionally establish success metrics and ensure team clarity and accountability in meeting and/or exceeding stated objectives/metrics Oversee recruiting, staffing, hiring, and training of Oncology Nurse Educators Provide coaching and guidance to respective Oncology Nurse Educators to enable high team engagement and performance Identify and remove operational barriers to team effectiveness and impact Ensure the Oncology Nurse Educator team works within all appropriate regulations, and company guidelines and has the right level of guidance, training, and documentation to ensure compliance, including first-line monitoring Engage and align key organizational stakeholders on the role of Oncology Nurse Educators in achieving respective franchise organizational priorities Represent the Oncology Nurse Educator team to Cross-Functional Field Leadership Teams to share opportunities and impact of the Oncology Nurse Educator Team relative to role remit and the Oncology Nurse Education Strategic Imperatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to address genuine educational needs The Leader is a role model for living AZ values who diligently and consistently uphold our ethical standards and compliance expectations.
Engage key customers and Key External Experts to continuously seek customer feedback on opportunities to positively impact patient health Insights & Account Planning Synthesizes insights across the geography utilizing the understanding of the tumor priorities of AZ, key accounts, and the geography at large, partnering with data and analyst specialist Partners with Oncology Business Managers/Oncology Area Directors to conduct opportunity assessment across patient journeys within key accounts Ties together understanding of the environment outside the delivery of care (e.
g.
local advocacy groups, local gov't affairs, in-geography events) to the insights into the needs of the geography REQUIREMENTS Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree AND current Oncology RN experience or Oncology Nurse Education work experience a MUST Registered Nurse (RN) active license REQUIRED A valid driver's license and safe driving record (Company Car Provided) Willingness to travel overnight up to 50% of the time 5
years of Pharmaceutical/ Medical Industry experience Direct people leader/Team management experience No Relocation Provided Desirable Advanced degree in Science, Nursing, Business, and/or Public Health preferred Proven ability to motivate and lead the team to meet and/or exceed performance metrics Strong financial management and business acumen Exposure and/or experience in other functional areas of the business (e.
