Summary:
Responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial washers, dryers, boilers, compressors, conveyors, and other equipment.
Assist Chief Engineer supports the Chief Engineer in administering and directing the entire Maintenance Department, equipment, building and grounds.

Responsibilities:
Manage and train maintenance staff, maintaining all safety policies and good housekeeping.
Diagnoses, rebuilds, and repairs equipment, performs inspections and preventive maintenance of equipment.
Prepares and maintains records and reports.
Required to troubleshoot, install minor equipment, analyze and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults, including compressed air operated machines with little supervision.
Able to read blueprints and electrical/electronic schematics.
Order parts by cross-referencing to local vendors.
Periodically evaluate the performance of staff, recommending appropriate action such as promotions, disciplinary issues, and terminations.
Conduct tests, inspections, and analyze problems encountered using logic and technical skills to repair equipment as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Safety metrics is to be of the highest priority.
Ensures strict compliance with all safety standards pertaining to DOT, HAZMAT, and OSHA regulations with regards to training, and the wearing of PPE.
Suggest and develop training methods to improve the efficiency and productivity of maintenance team Perform other duties as required QUALIFICATIONS AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
5 years or more of supervisory experience, and 5 years or more of industry experience.
Multilingual highly desirable Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Strong leadership skills, proactive, decisive, problem solver able to think outside the box to create strategies in a changing environment with no supervision.
Strong work ethic, highly independent and goal oriented.
Possesses strong safety awareness.
Flexible schedule including days/nights, weekends, and holidays.
COMPUTER/TECHNICAL SKILLS/JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:
Computer literate Comprehensive knowledge of overall department functions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Motivated individual with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Industrial atmosphere may be exposed to extreme temperatures, noise levels and stressful conditions.
