9K a year Human Resources Nashville, TN, USA Salary Full Time The position of Payroll and Benefits Analyst will provide administrative payroll and benefits support to the Director, Human Resources.
This position will be responsible for accurate calculation, processing, and maintenance of payroll records to achieve timely payment of salaries, commissions, benefits, deductions, and various payroll taxes.
This position will also be responsible for managing benefit enrollments, changes, terminations, and processing of monthly benefit invoices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Payroll:
Responsible for bi-weekly payroll preparation.
Duties include reviewing and computing employee timecards, reviewing pay data entered in the HRIS, and ensuring accuracy of payroll prior to submitting for approval.
Contacts department supervisors for any discrepancies (missed punches, timecard edits, PTO approvals, etc.
) Compile payroll data such as garnishments, PTO time, employee changes, and insurance and payroll deductions.
Ensures that wage deductions, deposits, adjustments, and garnishments are applied appropriately.
Ensures compliance with all applicable State and Federal wage and hour laws.
Assists Accounting with any reports needed for the general ledger or payroll reconciliation.
Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with HR team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
Produces scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and HR requirements.
Benefits:
Responsible for processing benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations for all plans in a timely and accurate manner.
Reconciles and processes monthly billings from all benefit providers.
Reviews billings for accuracy and approves for payment in a timely manner.
Resolves discrepancies with carriers and payroll.
Coordinate all changes, new enrollments, and withdrawals with third party 401(k) plan administrator and HSA provider.
Assist the Director of Human Resources with all governmental regulatory filings.
Assist with yearly benefits open enrollment.
Plans, conducts, and reports results of audits to ensure all enrollments are accurate and that dependent information is correct for each employee and works closely with internal departments for quarterly and year end audits (payroll, Workers Comp, 401k, etc.
).
Other duties as required.
Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or other related field of study.

years' experience administering payroll, HRIS and benefits processes required.
Work experience should include knowledge of basic HR, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance.
Must have strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including payroll, benefits, time & attendance and HRIS and self-service systems.
Experience with Paycom a plus.
Must be proficient with MS Excel Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
