Principal Program Manager, Amazon Logistics Sustainability, AMZL Sustainability

Join the Amazon Logistics Sustainability team define strategy and goals to meet Amazon's sustainability commitments.
In this role, you will own strategic, tactical, cross-functional and technology projects and programs within AMZL to meet sustainability goals.
You will be responsible for scoping and creating project plans, developing processes, coordinating and driving execution, and communicating to senior management on status, risks and process/product changes.
In this role you will work with senior leaders across multiple organizations and geographies, and balance customer research, data analysis, project and stakeholder management, and internal/external communication.
Key
Responsibilities:
Manage full lifecycle complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact across multiple organizations Work closely with partner teams and stakeholders in and outside of your organization to deliver; partner with teams to source, allocate, and coordinate resources Analyze data and drive improvements that are quantified with metrics Own reporting on the state of initiatives, measuring improvements and impact of changes.
Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks) Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives Develop, implement, and govern Key Performance Metrics (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones, and performance across all projects Set-up mechanisms to audit and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives Key job responsibilities Scope programs and goals to deliver sustainability results and gain buy in from senior leaders, the topics can be highly ambiguous Use data and industry knowledge to define the appropriate scope and priorities to meet sustainability Work cross-functionally to find and incorporate the right stakeholders to enable network-level execution of the strategy defined Define project plans and milestones to provide regular status updates and hold accountability (when needed) Learn about what sustainability technology and strategies to incorporate into your line of work Dive deep into project timelines, KPIs and financialsAbout the teamAMZL Sustainability measures progress towards Amazon's sustainability goals and defines sustainability strategy and priorities to drive progress every year.
The team covers five pillars:
(1) Transportation Decarbonization, (2) Building Decarbonization, (3) Waste, (4) Reporting & Forecasting and (5) Culture.
The Principal PM will own one or two pillars and interact with other PMs and BIEs on the team.
The team's culture is collaborative and we ensure team members are available to support others when needed.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Nashville, TN, USA.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
