Who we are and what we do:
The Department of Finance and Administration is currently seeking experienced candidates for the IT Director (Production Support Director) position supporting the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH).
This is an Executive Service position and is located downtown Nashville.
This position is supervised by the Agency Deputy CIO, and partners closely with executive leadership in support of the Agency CIO s strategic technology direction.
The Production Support Services Director will work closely with management teams to plan, develop, coordinate, and execute strategies consistent with the vision and mission supporting the Department of Health.
This position will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in overseeing daily IT operations including technology management, server administration, service desk support, security services, and telecommunications.
This position demands a skilled individual with leadership, employee development, operations, and infrastructure support experience.
This position will also develop relationships with the agency's business divisions and members of IT leadership to provide optimal service to the organization's employees and customers.
Key
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide leadership and direction to production support services staff responsible for providing end-to-end IT user support in the following areas:
(1) Telecommunications (digital communications, audio visual, iPads, iPhones, Wireless, networking, cabling, etc.
).
(2) Server Administration (installation, maintenance, and ongoing support for the Windows, Linux, AS400 servers supporting TDH applications).
(3) Service Desk (central point of contact for supporting TDH over a hundred clinics across all ninety-five counties.
).
(4) Work with the Department of Strategic Technology Solutions (STS) to maintain network, server, and application security for TDH.
Develop, implement, and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into goals, progress, performance standards, and obstacles for our key initiatives.
Evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements on a regular basis.
Build and maintain relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activity and strategic goals.
Assist security teams with vulnerability remediation for the TDH production environments (On-Prem, Data Center, Cloud).
Ensure security patching is conducted regularly and is communicated and coordinated with user test groups and stakeholders.
Work with TDH security team to ensure data security and compliance (HIPAA, PHI, PII) Oversee customer support processes, organize them, and develop KPIs and other measures to identify a baseline and show improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.
Lead Operational Excellence initiatives for production support services.
Oversight responsibility for application portfolio management.
Organizational strategy planning and execution.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Experience with managing complex customer relationship scenarios.
Awareness of concepts of DevOps and experience in DevOps implementations.

years of people management with demonstrated experience building and motivating teams.
Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, influential skills, and leadership.
Ability to streamline and implement new structures and roles that create speed, efficiency, and support rapidly shifting business demands.
Excel at leading, managing, and building high functioning teams.
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
A bachelor's degree plus five years of professional level experience in the information technology field.
Experience including oversight of infrastructure, application administration, service desk, telecommunications and server administration is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
