The Department of General Services for the State of Tennessee is looking for just the right person to fill the role of Administrative Services Assistant and join our team.
The Administrative Services Assistant is a valued member of the Document Solutions division.
In this role, you will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of all shared folders and applications.
You will take the initiative to make workflows more user-friendly and guide all members of the department through these processes.
Your work involves considerable responsibility for developing, implementing, and enforcing pertinent policies and procedures.
You will have an approachable attitude as you will be a point of contact throughout the division providing support and acting as a resource to those who need assistance.
You will be responsible for adapting to the Assistant Commissioner's needs and helping to strategize and implement swift solutions.
You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
The Administrative Services Assistant reports to the Assistant Commissioner of Document Solutions in the Department of General Services with offices in the Tennessee Tower in Downtown Nashville.
It has a hybrid work schedule with in-office and remote workdays according to the needs of the Department.

Our primary customers are other State departments and agencies.

The Administrative Services Assistant position works in the Document Solutions division, one of five divisions within the Department of General Services.
They are a one-stop-shop for all electronic and printed communication products for State government.
This includes printing, graphics, promotional items, scanning, mailing, and warehousing, as well as onsite and on-location photo and video services.
Document Solutions also prides itself on the speedy production of printed materials and meeting requirements for safe mail delivery on behalf of the State.
And they can also provide these services to other city and county governments and nonprofit organizations in Tennessee.
