Process Improvement Specialist

This role can be based out of the Nashville corporate location or a US-based field location within the NASC extended network.

Amazon is seeking Process Improvement Leaders to work within the North American Sort Center (NASC) team.
Key job responsibilitieso Works across team(s) and Operations organization at country, regional and / or cross-regional level to drive improvements and enablers to implement solutions for customer, cost savings in process workflow, systems configuration, and performance metrics.
Leads projects and opportunities across the Operations that are business critical and may be global in nature.
o Leads from medium to large complex, cross-functional strategic projects and opportunities.
o Prioritizes projects and feature sets; evaluates and sets stakeholders expectations for Amazon's marketplace at the country, regional and / or cross-regional level.
o Writes clear and detailed functional specifications based on business requirements, as well as writes and reviews business cases.
o Performs supporting research and analysis, and drives the product (project, processes / deliverables) development schedule from design to release.
o Structures and develops implementation plans and works with Operations leaders to pilot and test new solutions and then roll-out across the broader organization at country / cross-country and / or cross-regional level.
o Credible business partner to Amazon's Operations network; relies heavily on influence - not authority - to drive business teams and resources toward project goals.
o Manages critical relations with external partners (e.
g.
, vendors) and contractors from the initial phase of the project to its execution.
o Manages multiple projects in program area or large, challenging projects that may involve multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment to meet business and / or organization goals.
Improves efficiency.
o Demonstrates ownership of any part of their project.
Possesses combination of practical and intellectual skills and an ability to shift and adapt to different tasks that vary between complex analyses and hands-on project and operations management.
o Identifies and tackles intrinsically hard problems (e.
g.
, highly complex, ambiguous, undefined, with little to no existing structure, have significant business or security risk or potential for significant impact), and resolves issues and initiates corrective action as appropriate.
o Possesses relevant understanding and experience on operational processes and workflow.
Able to dive deep in the operational process to correct underperforming parts and acts as a trouble shooter.
o May lead other managers for large projects and / or other resources that are temporarily assigned to a project.
o May be based out of the Nashville corporate location or a US-based field location within the NASC extended network.
The role requires working from an Amazon facility three days a week, and remotely two days a week.
o Requires travel within an assigned geographic region, up to 50%.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
