Public Health Associate

Our client located in Nashville, TN is seeking a Public Health Associate to join their team

The Public Health Associate is a temp-to-hire opportunity, with a hybrid schedule

Responsibilities:
  • Support Infectious Disease staff with partner coordination to fulfill workplan deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to strengthen data improvement efforts.
  • Create ways to sustain current programs and program funding.
  • Provide input and insight for complex projects such as establishing a Harm Reduction program.
  • Provide assistance to Infectious Disease staff and collaborate in a team-based setting to meet program goals.
  • Assist Program Coordinator as needed on various projects.
  • Work In conjunction with the Program Coordinator and other team members to provide technical assistance as needed
  • Follow up with various partners to ensure that deliverables, deadlines, and workplan timelines are met.
  • Participate in committee and departmental staff meetings in relation to appropriate program as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by appropriate Program Manager.


Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree is required
    A Public Health degree is strongly preferred.
  • 2
    years of proven experience in public health would be ideal, but not required
  • Cultural sensitivity/ability to work within the customs and traditions of various Tribal Nations; specifically, those within the USET Region Excellent listening, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Outstanding attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to tactfully follow up with internal and external partners.
  • Must have the ability to meet or exceed deadlines.

  • CHES certification preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency (including Microsoft Suite and Office 365).
  • Must be able to work in a team-based setting and/or independently and adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to show initiative, be conscientious and relate effectively with co-workers and the public.
  • Must be willing to travel 25-30%.
