As the Administrative Services Assistant, you will provide administrative support to the Assistant Commissioner of the VAM division.
VAM acquires, manages, and maintains the State of Tennessee's motor vehicle fleet, including motorized equipment.
It also serves vendors wishing to do business with the State and citizens and organizations interested in purchasing surplus State and federal property.
You will have an approachable attitude as you will be a point of contact throughout the division, providing support and serving as a resource to those who need assistance.
You will be responsible for adapting to the Assistant Commissioner's needs and helping to strategize and implement swift solutions.
You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
This position reports to the Assistant Commissioner of the VAM division.
The position has a hybrid work schedule with a monthly starting salary of $3,958 - $4,958 (determined by experience).

Examples of Duties and
Responsibilities:
Assist executive staff in preparing reports, proposals, and other documents by collecting and analyzing data, formatting, inputting, retrieving, copying, or transmitting data Assist with calls from internal and external customers with professionalism and efficiency o Welcome guests and customers by greeting them in person or by telephone, answering or directing departmental inquiries Serve as a liaison to senior management and coordinate executive outreach and external relations efforts Edit documents for grammar and spelling, as well as for technical accuracy, and format documents to meet State and department standards for publication Learn new technical skills and assist others in the same Read and evaluate incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports; open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email Schedule all travel and meetings, including prioritizing and communicating all relevant details to participants Serve as the first point of contact for a variety of high-level relationships Transcribe meeting notes Requirements:
Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; and two (2) years of experience providing general administrative assistant duties in the private or public sector; OR Four (4) years of experience providing general administrative assistant duties in the private or public sector Experience with Microsoft Office at an advanced level Superior organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred by not required:
