Nortel Telephony Technical Support
The Telephony Tech support position requires in-house Nortel Telephony Tech support to customer by working tickets in tech support queue for various trouble issues and MAC requests.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Job Duties include: Providing remote programming; offering helpdesk support to onsite field technicians walking them through Telset programming. Requires general working telecommunications knowledge such as Demarcation, Jumpers, CAT5, Cabling, Blocks 66/110, & Chrome and other basic telecomm administration and support. Specialized Skills include: Proven ability to program and troubleshoot either Nortel Norstar IP office 500 PBX/voicemail systems. This position requires having a calming supportive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills while being able to maintain professionalism in high stress situations. Training and Experience includes: NORTEL Advanced Knowledge & Experience with BCM50, 0x32MICS, 8X24, CICS, CALL PILOT 100 and FLASH 2and requiresproficiency with MS Office 2010 programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook. Hours: Work Shifts vary from: 6am-3pm; 7am-4pm; 8am-5pm; and 9am-6pm. (Mandatory OT may be required, and when the hourly W2 contractor becomes a W2 employee, then he/she will be added to the rotating on-call schedule which requires an on-call shift at least 1x monthly.
