Description
Stansell Electric Company is looking for an entry-level estimator that will assist in preparing cost estimates for the construction department. Our projects include a large scope of electrical construction services including signalization, commercial electrical, low voltage and other specialty work.
Responsibilities

Continue relationships with subcontractors and vendors. Prepare and send requests for quotes and information for pricing. Analyze supplier quotes and recommend the best subcontractor or vendor.

Review plans and specifications for projects and perform estimate takeoff of plans.

Prepare questions and concerns prior to bid and submit to the appropriate party.

Prepare cost estimates for projects using estimating software. This may include working on a portion of a larger estimate or preparing smaller estimates complete for review.

Review estimates with Team leader and/or Owner's.

Analyze historical and industry data to compare actual vs budget.

Develop budgets on projects won from the estimate and enter into the accounting system.

Attend hand off project meetings with Project Managers.

Assist in pricing change orders.
Qualifications

4 year degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience in field.

Familiar with MEP systems.

Stong attention to detail.

Ability to work on projects in a team environment.

Ability to multitask, prioritize and work well under pressure.

Strong Communication skills.

Understanding of construction plans and specifications.

Ability to learn and use software programs.

Valid Driver's License

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
