35 year old Chemical manufacturing company that started as a family owned business and was bought by a private equity company 3 years ago. Because of this, they have the money from the private equity company but they are still run like a family company.

Schedule: 7:30 am to 4:30 pm M-F
Your Role:
This person will work directly with customers and sales people to fill chemical orders. They receive these orders through email, fax and phone and are expected to put the detailed information accurately into their database. This person also checks current inventory and coordinates with the production floor so that they can accurately advise clients as to turn around time. This person is also responsible for the shipment of the chemicals to the customer. Because chemical production is a highly regulated field, this person must be able to learn quickly and learn OSHA regulations related to the shipment of chemicals.
Background Profile:
Customer focused with strong interpersonal skills to deal with customer demands - both internal and external.
Solid computer skills, ability to perform basic math calculations, accurate typing and keyboard skills are a necessity.
Ability to listen as well as communicate information in a clear, courteous, concise, and logical manner.
Good decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills are required.
Must have initiative and the ability to follow through with attention to details.
Fantastic organizational skills are a must.
Be a strong team player with efficiency and productivity.
Accountable for performance in areas of productivity, quality, accuracy, phone skills, teamwork, and the customer's perception of service.
Provide professional service and support to customers
Accurate Order Entry / Data Entry
Experienced and understanding of Invoicing Procedures
Understand OSHA labels
Manufacturing shipping background experience strongly desired - US ground shipping.
Understand details of bill of laden
Safety protocol recognition
Proven longevity with previous work experience
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Minimum of five (5) years customer service experience preferred
High school diploma required
2-year college degree a plus / 4-year degree preferred
Must have previous experience with an ERP such as SAP or Oracle where there are multiple modules
