Warehouse Operations Supervisor - 2nd Shift:
Established wholesale distributor in Nashville seeks experienced warehouse supervisor to oversee distribution operations.
Scope of duties:
Ensures timely order fulfillment and shipping of product by fulfillment and shipping employees.
Oversees receipt and stocking of incoming product by receiving employees utilizing scanning systems
Establishes operational procedures for activities such as handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current
Ensures the physical condition of warehouse and equipment are properly maintained
Ensures work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment are submitted to the appropriate persons
Ensures safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security and housekeeping
Ensures adequate staffing, training, coaching and counseling for employees
Reports employees' hours worked to Payroll on a weekly basis
Manages subordinates, such Warehouse Associates by: planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
Performs hands-on work as need in operation of forklifts, cherry pickers and pallet jacks in leading team of Order Fulfillment Associates.
Position requires prior supervisory experience in warehousing operation.
This is a Direct Hire position - NOT Temp or Temp to Hire.
Location: Nashville, TN
Hours: 4:00pm-1:00am
Compensation: $18-19 per hour.
