JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Data Architect you will be a key leader in the design, implementation, and delivery of large-scale database systems with high volumes of traffic. You will work alongside development to ensure best practices are following for data architecture for large scale databases, ensuring scalability and stability of solutions.
Translating business data requirements into logical and physical data models
Manage clustered PostgreSQL environments
Architect highly available data centric solutions for large scale deployments
Oversee health of production environments (implement tool sets for reporting health and management)
Building, supporting, and implementing large databases within a healthcare environment
Provide strategic direction and policies on best practice for data architecture
Required Skills:
Bachelors of Computer Science or equivalent combination or experience and education
Minimum of 5 years or working experience with databases management and design
Advanced proficiency in SQL, including transactions, triggers, procedures and constraints
Solid understanding of ACID and other common data storage concepts
Extensive experience with data modeling and data architecture required
Hands-on experience with creating and maintaining a centralized data repository
Preferred Skills:
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong background working with PostgreSQL 9.x
Management of clusters running PGPool
Experience with key-value stores such as memcache or Redis is a plus
Experience working with Redhat Enterprise Linux (version 6.x)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
