Printing/Packaging company wants to hire an experienced plate maker/mounter.
Job Description
Summary:
Responsible for the manufacturing, set-up and mounting of printing plates.
Responsible for the inspection and identification of defects in the negatives, raw material, printing plates, sleeves, mounting tape and cylinders.
Set up, operate, monitor, adjust and perform or assist in minor maintenance.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Use computer to obtain and enter product identification and quality information.
Conducts housekeeping activities in work area.
Requirements:
HS diploma or GED required
Experience Mounting & Making Plates for Flexographic Printing Presses preferred.
Strong mathematical & mechanical aptitude
Positive attitude & good work ethic
Must be able to distinguish between colors
Must be able to work in team environment
Must be able to work 12-hr rotating shift schedule (including nights & weekends)
Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience required, preferably as a plate mounter, mounter assistant, pre-press trainee, press room trainee or press assistant.
Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Salary based on experience. Full company benefits will include health, vision, dental, life insurance, bonuses, paid holidays, vacation, 401k and more.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
