SCOPE
Responsible for QDC in assigned area while striving toward continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Takes the initiative to investigate areas that feed quality improvement and takes necessary steps to solve problems and accomplish objectives without supervisor's direction.
Responsible for maintaining smooth product flow which includes:
Safety, Quality, Productivity, Machine or Area Work loading (standard work), Job Assignments, and Delivery
Insure that all employees in the area are trained and that appropriate cross-training takes place.
Insure backups are provided to cover for absenteeism and vacation, including doing the work themselves.
Coordinate and be responsible for 5s activities within the area.
Responsible for work orders and requisitions for maintenance, tooling and supplies.
Must be able to perform some or all of the jobs within their area.
Participate in Kaizens and be responsible for sustaining results.
Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance as appropriate.
Perform other duties as required by management.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma and Technical School required.
Must be able to utilize measuring devices effectively.
Must read and apply specs from Engineering drawings.
Must perform calculations for dimension effectively.
Must pass skill based test.
Must have 3 years machining experience.
Must have experience in Hennessy manufacturing systems or in work areas assigned.
Must have desire and ability to motivate and lead a team.
Must be pro-active, positive, and a self-starter.
Requires talking, walking, listening, sitting, writing, bending, and standing.
