Business Banking Sales Representative

To assist in achieving Bank growth and profitability goals by effectively executing the branch's marketing and business development plan, acquiring business deposits and selling related business deposit products to increase fee income while providing high customer service for all customers.The incumbent reports to the Financial Sales Manager or Service Manager and is responsible for actively selling business and some retail products of the Bank. This is both an inside and out of the office sales position, with high customer contact. In many cases, the Business Services Representative partners with a Business or Commercial Banker (who focus on loan products) in order to offer the customer a wide range of services and products to build banking relationships.
Principal Accountabilities:
Actively sell the Banks consumer and business products and services in a professional manner, while maintaining established individual production levels for this position. This includes all deposit products and consumer credit products. Selling is done inside the branch via walk in traffic and cross selling to existing customers as well as outside the office by generating leads and calling on perspective business clients. Follow Banks established sales approach.
Ensure compliance with federal regulations on all loan applications and deposit product documentation. Keep current on product knowledge, competition and on compliance issues related to deposit and lending products.
Partner with assigned business or commercial banker to develop proposals for deposit accounts and fee income products and services, e.g. merchant services, and make presentations regarding such to perspective business clients.
Answer questions and resolve problems for customers concerning all services provided by the Bank. Identify the problem, collect data, secure answers and report results to the inquiring party and with the Supervisor, Operations and Service or other Bank associates as necessary.
Foster teamwork with fellow associates in the branch and the Bank as a whole. Maintain helpful and courteous interactions with others and keep communications lines open. Refer customers to other bank partners as appropriate.
Represent the Bank in the community and develop and promote additional business by attending and participating in civic meetings and gatherings, volunteer for activities, etc.

Position Requirements
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree with a minimum of 2 years experience in a sales, financial services, or lending role.
Or-
High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years experience in a sales, financial services, or lending role.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license. Position requires frequent driving to other offices, bank customers, etc. Bank car not provided.
Must complete federal registration and annual renewal as required by the SAFE Act.
Sales, referral and service skills to effectively sell the Banks products and make qualified referrals to Bank partners.
Other Preferred Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of features and benefits of various bank deposit products, and related policies and procedures.
Considerable knowledge of retail lending products and services and related policies and procedures.
