Business Project Manager

Job Purpose
Cigna-HealthSpring Operating Effectiveness (OE) leads large, cross-functional business initiatives, as well as targeted improvement projects in specific business and functional areas. To accomplish this, OE applies a multi-disciplined team approach consisting of process engineers, project managers, change managers, data and finance analysts and other specialists under the direction of the Deployment Leader. This approach helps ensure that changes will be on time, on budget, meet desired outcomes, be well received by employees and managers and most important, and be sustainable. The Business Project Managers has the responsibility to execute Cigna-HealthSpring's most challenging business opportunities.
Position Description
The Operating Effectiveness Business Project Manager will be responsible to lead mid to large-sized projects, to understand and evaluate business-specific requirements, and to drive the development of solutions to address complex business needs. This will include development and maintenance of integrated work plans, monitoring progress against goals, development and maintenance of cross-functional relationships, timely identification and escalation of risks and issues, and providing concise and timely reporting tailored to appropriate stakeholder audiences. Projects can range in content including (but not limited to) organizational realignment, compliance, total medical cost initiatives, new product implementation, new process and technology creation and rollout.
Principal Duties
Use established project and program methodology to develop project management plans for assigned projects. Where the methodology is not sufficient, create and augment with new processes and establish best practices
Develops and maintains project schedules that consider the priorities, key milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and identification of tasks that may be performed concurrently to achieve objectives.
Evaluates project status and resources, implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
Ensures the timely and quality development and distribution of all deliverables for the project.
Develops and implements communication and reporting mechanisms to manage issues, risks and timely delivery of initiative results.
Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process/productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that will lead to cost reduction and competitive analysis.
Resolve issues and determine contingency plans and triggers for risks. As needed, escalate issues to appropriate audiences including key business leaders and team members.
Ensures appropriate use of tools to track and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects
Compile and analyze results of services for identification of improvement opportunities.
Defines and consults on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards and surveys.
Partners with matrix organizations to ensure that appropriate action is taken to identify and implement initiatives.
Ensure that all OE work aligns to our strategic pillars, and drives our highest business priorities by targeting our operational success measures.
Provides mentoring and coaching to other team members in the practice of project management.
Responsible to deliver results projects must achieve the desired objective and meet or exceed the projected benefits of the business case (increase membership, medical cost containment, operating expense reduction, Improve quality and customer satisfaction)

Present and speak to large groups or in training environments about change management methods and past project experiences.

Required
Bachelors Degree
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Demonstrated expertise in the project management disciplines and PMI best practices.
Demonstrated success in leading cross-organizational initiatives.
Extensive and robust experience with different types of project initiatives
Ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives, and achieve buy-in for organizational proposals.
Ability to lead and influence in a matrix environment is critical.
Ability to drive to results independently.
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills.
Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base to quickly come up to speed in new business areas and new types of projects.
Proven ability to create and further develop strong relationships with both business and IT leadership.
Excellent oral, written presentation and communication skills.
Must be motived by desire for success and pursuit of excellence.
Strongly preferred
Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt (MBB) or Black Belt (BB) certification
Change Management certification (CCMP, Prosci ADKAR or equivalent)
Other specialties Agile and Scrum, Kaizen, etc.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
