IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) (TITLE 5)

As IT Specialist (SYSADMIN), GS-2210-12, you will serve as project leader responsible for developing, assigning, and coordinating duties and projects for systems administrators. Serve as the senior systems administrator responsible for planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting to support customer needs. Plan and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Troubleshoot problems and implement changes on multiple computer platforms. Diagnose system failures to isolate source of problems between equipment, system software, and application programs. Perform other duties as assigned. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
One year of specialized experience at the next lower Grade. Experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Knowledge of project management techniques and tools sufficient to provide expert guidance on the implementation of emerging technologies to diverse dispersed locations throughout the state. Knowledge of, and skill in applying the principles and methods for planning, updating, and integrating information system components, including documenting information and physical characteristics of an information system or product. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
