This role is located in our modern Nashville Metro Center office, located just minutes from downtown with easy interstate access and free parking, and is in the office full-time.

Primary Function

The Business Intelligence and Analytics Analyst will focusing on front-end solutions and the promotion of those services in the organization.

Responsibilities

Promote Analytics Best Practices and Value Realization

Mentor Business Analysts on analytics solutions including data sources, SQL, ETL, reports, dashboard, and visualization techniques

Promote data literacy and a data driven decision culture

Improve organizational Analytics Maturity

Smith BI&A Community of Practice

Maintain an understanding of the BI&A industry and trends

Identify business value realized from BI&A projects

Develop, Enhance, and Maintain Analytics

Work collaboratively to define and document requirements

Design, develop, test, and deploy analytics, visualization, dashboards, and reports using:

o Tableau / Tableau Prep

o SAP Analysis for Office Excel

o SAP Web Intelligence (WebI)

Communicate and deploy changes in the production environment

Document solution

Investigate issues and provide timely solutions

Maintain a solid understanding of our Analytics tools and data sources

Maintain Analytics Infrastructure

Administer the Analytics Portal

Administer Tableau Server

Administer the Analytics Wiki

Support software implementations and system upgrades, and coordinate system validations

Qualifications

Requirements

3
years' experience developing Reporting and Analytics preferably in a Manufacturing environment

2
years' experience with:
visualization tools like Tableau (preferred), Power BI, or Cognos, reporting tools like using SAP Web Intelligence (WebI), SAP Analysis for Office and SQL and ETL tools

Bachelor's Degree in:
Business, Information Technology, Mathematics; or other discipline with minor in:
statistics, quantitative methods, or data science; or equivalent education and experience

Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail

Naturally curious with a love of learning, and demonstrated application of new learning

Must know when and where to use appropriate data; recognize when data is misleading, misrepresented or incomplete; effectively create, read and interpret charts, and graphs; use critical thinking skills when analyzing data; and employ data storytelling techniques when talking with people who lack data literacy skills.

Experience working with MS Office including advanced Excel proficiency

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management or Business Management

Years of Experience

Minimum of 5 years related work experience
