As a Senior Business Analyst, you will generate actionable insights that guide operational excellence and product development for transportation products and services, innovating on behalf of our customers.
Data analysis is at the core of Amazon's culture and your work will have a direct impact on decision making and strategy for our team.
You will gather customer insights, mine data, make recommendations, and help senior leaders make key business decisions.
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the largest and most complex data warehouses in the world to gather insights using from across Amazon.
Your efforts will help change the way customers receive packages, and will help to solve logistical challenges at Amazon scale.
In addition to your deliverables, you will act as a role model by mentoring other business analysts and take a key role in their development.
An ideal candidate will be someone with broad technical background in data analytics, strong business acumen, high degree of ownership, and is obsessed at solving for customer needs.
The successful candidate will also be a great communicator who can crisply communicate his/her analysis in non-technical terms to senior leaders.
You will have a strong bias towards data-driven decision making, and will be comfortable with ambiguity, while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
A candidate will also need to be a great collaborator who can work with internal and external teams to define and implement solutions that will yield benefits to Amazon customers around the world.
This location of this role can be Nashville, Austin, Portland, and Arlington.
Key job responsibilities Apply mining, quantitative analysis, and statistical models to understand how our customers interact with us and identify ways to improve the customer experience and meet our goals Standardize how SDS approaches baselining and bridging activities for our top-level output goals.
Build decision-support tools that enable self-service project scoping, and automated reporting that shows the impact of projects in our goal ladder.
Proactively developing new metrics and studies to quantify customer behavior and reduce defects Conduct written and verbal presentations to share insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication Mentor and develop junior business analysts.
