Senior Program Manager - Crisis and Emergency Planning, Disaster Recovery and Investigations

Amazon's WW Operations - Disaster Recovery & Investigations (DRI) team is seeking a Program Manager, Crisis Management to prepare plans and procedures for responding to natural disasters and other disasters affecting Amazon Operations, including leading planning efforts to support cross-functional teams executing those plans during disaster recovery.
You will need to be to support all aspects of disaster recovery planning; before, during, and after incidents that impact Amazon Operations.
This role will be a key part of the DRI team, focused on developing and implementing plans and protocols for the continued integration and support with existing response organizations across WW Operations.
A successful candidate will partner with Global Business Continuity Management (GBCM), the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), as well as existing site and regional Incident Management Teams (IMT) in the early triage of an incident, coordinating and facilitating DRI team activations when resources and capabilities of the local teams have been exhausted.
You will partner closely with the GSOC, WW Asset Management, Risk Management, and Legal to provide actionable and executable plans that support operational recovery as well as regular written and verbal updates in the physical recovery efforts to Amazon leadership.
Key job responsibilitieso Develop site specific, disaster recovery plans that support safe, rapid, and efficient operational recovery.
o Develop and publish policies, plans, and methods for managing the physical response, repair, and recovery of disaster incidents that affect Amazon building(s), with a focus on the preplanning and early triage phases of a disaster.
o Develop and review internal and stakeholder pre-planning checklists and documents that support both sites and DRI activation and deployment.
o Monitor impending weather events globally, summarizing key data points for the DRI team, for internal review and quick escalation to support teams.
Provide daily and weekly summarizing of ongoing and impending area-wide events.
o Develop and train recovery support stakeholders on the overall coordinated recovery process, allowing each critical stakeholder to be knowledgeable of how their function fits into the broader recovery objective(s).
o Participate as a stakeholder reviewer of emergency response plans, and similar self-service tools for site leaders to effectively triage disaster events and coordinate with the broader disaster recovery jump-team.
o Support cross-department after-action-reviews, focused on the recovery aspects of the disaster event.
o Support the broader DRI team on investigation efforts into origin and cause of loss events.

You will be working every day on supporting the planning and recovery efforts of the team, both deployed to sites and in the office preparing for activations.
About the teamThe primary function of the DRI team is to respond to big and complex disasters, monitor physical recovery, and accelerate learnings back into the design and operations of the WWRE portfolio.
The DRI team is organized around five core competencies - the strategic and tactical management of Disaster (1) Response, (2) Resources, (3) Assessment, (4) Containment & Recovery and (5) Investigation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
