PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To effectively manage the printing operations team to achieve maximum results for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Efficiency. Direct the day-to-day operations of the printing facility. Provide the leadership to develop teamwork among team members to allow them to continually improve process and products. Responsibilities Responsible for providing the overall vision for the manufacturing plant and its employees. Effectively develops and leads printing employees to execute policy deployment site-wide. Insure quality and service standards are met and exceeded through establishing of standards, statistical methods, good communication, follow-up and proper training. Direct efforts of Manufacturing Manager and Value Stream Leaders to accomplish plant and company goals. Develop the APN plant budget, including capital requirements, and manage to meet budget. Coordinate the APN plant operation with other areas including Sales/Marketing, Logistics and Material Management, Customer Service, other plants and technology. Provides leadership of production department through good planning, direction, communicating expectations and follow-up. Understands manufacturing process and operational principles of production in order to better direct efforts and make sound decisions. Keeps corporate management informed and updated on production and other issues as needed. Responds with appropriate level of urgency as situations warrant. Analyze production records to insure production meets capabilities. Works closely with Human Resources to develop overall training systems for all levels or plant organization Maintains high level of safety ensuring equipment and facilities are in proper condition. Enforces company policy and enforces safety regulation within the team. Comply with the Company's goals and policies regarding affirmative action. Attend, participate, and lead cross-functional teams that involve all levels of Berry Corp, and external customers. Identify and train an adequate number of individuals to act as backups or successors to your position. Develop and promote teamwork between the Printing and Extrusion departments. Facilitate leadership development in the printing operation. Promote continuous improvement as a champion of lean manufacturing. Promote continuous leading edge or state of the art printing and graphics technical improvements. Achieve agreed upon metrics.
Qualifications Education:
BS/BA degree required preferably in an Engineering Discipline; or ten years of manufacturing experience with three of those years being in Production Management; or a combination of both. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-10 years manufacturing leadership experience preferably in printing and preferably to include leadership of process engineering teams. Proven ability to develop high performing teams. Demonstrate strong supervisory and project management experience
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
Operations ManagementEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
