Senior Power SCADA Application Engineer
Job Description Senior Software Application Engineer This is an exciting opportunity to develop large scale SCADA solutions for Data Center customers. This position entails programming in a rewarding and constantly maturing environment. The Software Application Engineer will be part of a growing team to support highly visible strategic customers. Responsibilities for this position include engineering of systems typically used in the monitoring and control of electrical power distribution. Specific tasks may include consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements, configuring and commissioning Power Monitoring Systems, graphical screen and database development, programming of PLC applications and HMI interfaces, electrical one-line drawing verification, and troubleshooting commissioned systems. Qualifications Experience in leading individual projects or small teams of 3-5 individuals 5-10 years of HMI/ SCADA installation and configuration Experience in any of the following or similar computer programming languages (Python, C#, C++, CiCode, or JavaScript), database design (MS-SQL), or HTML development. Good understanding of communication protocols and interfaces such as ModBus and IEC 61850 PLC basic programming and troubleshooting experience Exposure to emergency power generation and distribution, including switchgear control applications and generator control applications Development of software standards for modular, scalable, reusable solutions Detail oriented, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills BS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science Previous Experience a Plus:
HMI/ SCADA solutions development experience for electrical power monitoring and control applications Experience in projects developed in Citect SCADA, WonderWare HMI SCADA International travel up to 40% to customer sites required - as such, you must be able to obtain necessary clearance and/or credentials to comply with customer requirements for executing work on their site. $80K -- $100K
