Job Description Position:
Youth Operations Director General
Responsibilities:
The Youth Operations Director will act under the direction of the CEO.
The Youth Operations Director will travel as needed, depending on the needs of each facility in Tennessee.
The position's home base will be considered based on the location of the facilities in Tennessee.
The Youth Operations Director will see that the facility meets or exceeds State, Federal, and any Accreditation requirements.
The Youth Operations Director will also assist in maintaining compliance with our state contracts.
The Youth Operations Director will be responsible for the goals and objectives being met as set forth by the CEO.
Duties:
The Youth Operations Director will be required to travel, as needed, with the expectation that the Youth Operations Director will be present at each facility when the need arises.
Assist in the assurance that Wayne Halfway House, Inc maintains compliance with contracts; any State and Federal guidelines; and facility policies.
Act as a community liaison and representative of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
Participate in the review and implementation of company or facility Policies and Procedures.
Assist in the daily operation of Wayne Halfway House, Inc.
Attending administrative meetings as required or requested.
Participate in the PQI Program as requested.
Will work in conjunction with the Human Resources department on staffing and personnel decisions.
Responsible for overseeing the physical condition of the facility including maintaining standards of all State and Federal codes.
Ensure disciplinary decisions with residents are appropriate and in line with behavioral modification system, policy, and procedure of each facility.
Ensure each facility under the Youth Operations Director's responsibility is functioning appropriately and responsive to requests from the company, the State, or other accrediting or licensing body.
Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity.
Participate and give feedback on quarterly and annual risk management reviews and reports.
Assure that staff are carrying out their job responsibilities in a professional manner and holding the staff accountable when applicable.
Identify training needs for staff to ensure they have the tools to do the job appropriately.
The Youth Operations Director is expected to be able to evaluate information and determine when information or a request should be elevated to another individual within the company, such as CEO.
Communicate appropriately and professionally with stakeholders or internal co-workers.
Any other job-related duties that may be given by the CEO.
Qualifications and
Experience:
The Youth Operations Director should have a High School Diploma or GED.
A bachelor's degree in social science or social work is preferred.
5 years' experience in managing Residential Treatment Centers at the role of Facility Administrator, State Director, Executive Director or higher, OR 5 years working in a supervisory role at Residential Treatment Center with 5 years management experience in another profession.
This person should have training and experience in mental health treatment of children and youth.
