The Department of General Services for the State of Tennessee is looking for just the right person to fill the role of Grants Analyst in our Central Procurement Office and join our team.
The Grants Analyst is a valued member of the Central Procurement Office's legal team.
In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving grant contracts under the guidance and supervision of the Grants Program Team Lead.
In addition, this position is responsible for monitoring the Grants Team communications to respond to priority grant review requests in a timely manner.
This is an entry-level position, and recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.

This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days from home and two days in the office in the Tennessee Tower in downtown Nashville.

Our primary customers are other State departments and agencies.
But we also serve vendors wishing to do business with the State and citizens and organizations interested in purchasing surplus government property.
DGS consists of five divisions:
Central Procurement Office (CPO), State of Tennessee Real Estate Management (STREAM), Vehicle and Asset Management (VAM), Document Solutions, and the Division of Administration.

The Grants Analyst position works in the Central Procurement Office (CPO).
CPO purchases goods and services for State departments and agencies.
CPO is also responsible for grants management, vendor relations, training of agency procurement professionals, and the administration of the State's commercial payment card program, as well as partnering with the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) to ensure the State is prepared for emergencies.
The Governor's Office of Diversity Business Enterprise also operates out of this division.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
