Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance Mgr, Global Transporation and Logistics

Amazon is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Dangerous Goods Transportation Compliance professional to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all hazardous materials and dangerous goods shipping policies comply with relevant regulations and standards.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing robust regulatory compliance strategies, overseeing documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of safety and legal adherence.
Key job responsibilitieso Develop and implement comprehensive compliance strategies for the shipping of regulated Hazardous Material and Dangerous Goods.
o Stay current on transportation regulations, both domestic and international, and ensure the organization's practices align with these standards.
o Maintain knowledge of Hazardous Material and Dangerous Goods through continued education in International Air Transport Association (IATA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulatory compliance standards.
o Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate documentation related to transportation compliance.
o Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
o Collaborate with logistics, operations, and safety teams to integrate compliance measures into daily practices.
o Provide training and guidance to employees involved in transportation activities to ensure understanding and adherence to compliance standards.
o Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external partners, addressing compliance inquiries and facilitating inspections.
o Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance compliance processes.
o Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
o Prepare and submit reports on compliance status and performance metrics to senior management.

Global Transportation and Logistics is responsible for providing logistics support for internal Amazon IT non-inventory.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
