## Description
Research Analyst II needed to perform detailed reporting of data, milestones and task completion for newly funded DARPA grant. Individual will create and maintain databases from 4 areas of Research across campus; will assist in preparation, review and editing of manuscripts from gathered data; will order supplies and equipment as directed by PI; will assist PI and other investigators with reporting, record maintenance and will be expected to attend monthly meetings. Will be expected to perform routine office work, answer telephones for Director and maintain physical operation of research areas in Mass Spectrometry Research Center. Will assist Director and AO with daily operations of Journal of Mass Spectrometry, including copying, scanning documents and database upkeep.
Requires a Bachelor's degree and two years (post-baccalaureate -desired) experience in a laboratory/office, academic institution or industry setting. Should be familiar with Microsoft programs, especially Word and Excel.
Under general supervision, provide support for social, economic, or health related research; investigate, gather, assess and clarify data; organize and supervise distribution of information; coordinate general laboratory maintenance and inventory control.
Key Functions and Expected Performances:
1. Collect, organize, and evaluate data from a variety of reference sources
1. Develop and document reports and analyses summarizing progress, trends, and conclusions
2. Prepare reports for analysis of research data
2. Assist in modification and coordination of research procedures and techniques
1. Recruit and/or interview study participants
2. Develop forms and questionnaires that will collect the appropriate data
3. Create database files and maintain records
3. Assist in the preparation of materials for publication
1. Edit and/or type manuscripts according to accepted practices
2. Create informational materials related to research/study for dissemination to study participants, researchers,
community
4. Make presentation of study concepts in group session
1. Presentations are conducted in a professional manner
5. Keep abreast of trends in field of study
1. Read professional journals and attend meetings and/or seminars
6. Supervise Research Analyst I, technical support staff and student assistants
1. Plan, train, and assign work
7. Coordinate maintenance of lab.
1. May assist in space and facilities planning.

## Basic Qualifications
Job requires Bachelor's and 2 years of experience or the equivalent.
