pertaining to a Unix and Linux operating systems is desired. Certifications are preferred. MUST HAVE: EMC Networker, Tivoli Storage Manager or Veritas NetBackup, Disaster recovery planning and testing including bare-metal or hotsite restore. SAN technology and how they related to UNIX server storage presentation. Experience nce installing, administering and maintaining web and application Servers such as Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic and WebSphere.,Expertise with system administration, implementation, monitoring, and recovery techniques for major Linux distributions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and for IBM AIX. Strong knowledge of Unix and Linux system internals, operating systems and security concepts with a minimum of 10 years' experience. Duties and Responsibilities Administer user access to systems, or develop access strategies. Support development and production system environments. Install and maintain third-party application software, maintaining continuity with licensing and maintenance agreements. Monitor and tune system for performance. Develop maintenance and support standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for level 2 support personnel. Coordinate all capacity planning activities. Plan, test, and update system disaster recovery process. Install and support web and application Middleware, such as WebSphere or WebLogic.
