Zycron has a great Consulting Security Engineer contract to hire opportunity in Nashville, TN. The initial focus of this
position
will be to implement identity federation across all platforms working in collaboration with our product engineering, information security, and infrastructure teams. This position is expected to exercise due diligence to ensure compliance with complex legal requirements and business risks driven by the HIPAA Security and Privacy rules, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, HITECH, Antitrust, and growing expectations for countering threats to information technology assets.
Responsibilities of the Security Engineer:
Provide guidance in the identification and mitigation of threats to information technology assets
Design, engineer, and deploy Identity and Access Management solutions including Identity Federation
Provide consulting subject matter expertise on web based authentication, single sign-on, federation, SAML, and related technologies
Support new business systems integrating Identity Federation
Support existing systems with adding Identity Federation
Responsible for infrastructure application ownership of Identity Federation project initiatives such as core product upgrades, integrations, enhancements, and performance tuning
Focuses on product integration and solution engineering; will require software development
Guide software developers integrating with Federation infrastructure
Build strong relationships within department and other outside areas including business owners
Provide testing support for Federation initiatives
Present and review solutions with peers, project teams, and leadership
Provide fourth tier subject matter expert problem resolution support for production systems as needed
Act as backup support for other Identity Management technologies such as user provisioning
Actively participate on multiple projects requiring effective multi-tasking and time management skills
Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders on project requirements
Write technical specifications and provide detailed documentation to facilitate cross training for operations
Provide accurate work estimates and timelines for completion
Meet deadlines and communicate statuses to
supervisor
and project managers
Required Skills of the Security Engineer:
Experience defining and implementing security solutions; related skills and experience include identity and access management engineering, systems engineering, network engineering, application engineering, technical architecture, and security theory
Candidates should have 7
years of relevant Information Technology experience
Minimum 2
years of demonstrated working experience with Identity Federation technology such as Ping Identity's Ping Federate or comparable SAML-based Identity Federation products
Solid understanding of SAML specifications & protocols
4
years of programming experience in Microsoft.NET or Java environment
4
years of Web Development
6
years of Microsoft Active Directory experience
Information Systems experience in large corporate environments
Demonstrated ability to develop and/or script in multiple languages and technologies
Solid understanding of HTTP, XML, and related standards
Solid understanding of core identity concepts: authentication, authorization, federation, provisioning
Solid understanding of core security concepts: data integrity, confidentiality, non-repudiation, auditing
Proven Identity Management skills
Proven and strong critical thinking skills
Ability to be creative and innovative in a complex technical environment
Ability to work individually or in a close team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Competent in the latest Microsoft Office suite of products
Good communication skills and be able to work as part of a geographically dispersed team
