Bridgestone Americas is currently seeking a Strategic Finance Project Leader/Manager to provide support across the enterprise in strategy, competitive analysis, M&A;/divestitures, financial planning and project management. This position works with business unit leadership and the senior Finance team to develop and support strategy and actions that enhance the Company's growth opportunities and ensure long-term sustainable competitive advantage for Bridgestone and its business units. This will encompass enterprise-wide support of key strategic initiatives and will include the following:
Development of market intelligence and analysis of the competitive landscape
Business analysis of current Bridgestone markets and potential new markets
Financial modeling and valuation of strategic alternatives
Risk assessment identification
Management of acquisition/divestiture processes, to include deal execution
In addition to these accountabilities, the Strategic Finance Project Leader/Manager will support key cross-functional, enterprise projects that have been identified as critical to advancing the long term business and operational strategy of the BSA enterprise.
The position will report to the Controller, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations North America with a strong dotted line to the Manager, Project Management Office.
Works with business units to drive assessment of growth opportunities, analyze current and adjacent markets , provide insights on key players, perform needed financial analysis and modeling
Evaluates strategic opportunities and makes recommendations to senior management concerning tactical plans/strategies to implement new business activities; translates the recommendation(s) into action
Identifies necessary reports and / or metrics to measure the effectiveness and validate the success of products and programs
Develops and manages relationships with outside parties (potential counterparties, advisors, industry resources, etc.) as necessary
Negotiates with external parties and leads due diligence processes where necessary
Tracks business trends and identify opportunities within the marketplace
Performs market research to determine financial viability of business opportunities and performs scenario analyses
Valuation and strategic analysis
Synthesize information and provide detailed presentations in order to develop and communicate business case for senior management, both at the corporate and business unit level
Work cross functionally with various corporate functions and business units
Support project management on business driving projects
Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline required; MBA preferredCF Industries
5- 8 years of professional work experience
Investment banking, private equity, or corporate M&A;/business development experience required
Experience in a global company with operations in North and South America is a plus
Knowledge of and experience with SAP is a plus
Proficiency with MS Office applications
