Operations Counsel
The candidate will have primary responsibility for providing legal advice to the Chief Executives and management teams of hospital?s or other health care facilities within a defined geographical territory within the Company?s footprint and for ensuring that all activities across such facilities comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Will report to Managing Counsel-Hospital Operations. Serves as the first point of contact for hospital Chief Executives and their executive management teams on all legal issues arising from day-to-day operations. Identifies legal risks and develops proactive compliance recommendations. Advises, as subject-matter expert, on regulatory compliance and risk management issues, with special emphasis on the Stark, anti-kickback and other fraud and abuse laws, EMTALA, HIPAA, and hospital-medical staff relationship issues (credentialing, bylaws, rules and regulations and peer review). Negotiates all contractual arrangements between assigned hospitals and other third parties. Reviews all patient communications. Acts as liaison between hospital management and internal or external legal experts on matters beyond Ops Counsel?s cores substantive expertise. Works collaboratively with litigation team on investigations and pre-litigation matters. Keeps Managing Counsel ? Regulatory appraised of significant Legal issues arising within facilities? operations and assists in crafting solutions to protect firm?s interest.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
