Paralegal
The candidate will be responsible for: preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and use by lawyer(s); obtaining tax identification numbers; preparing inventories, accounts, petitions, and pleadings; performing investment analysis and routine trust accounting; maintaining creditors and security of a decedent's homestead; drafting affidavits, statements, schedules, settlements, orders, tax returns, and petitions; and maintaining estate records, bank accounts, and investments. A two-year degree in paralegal studies or NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university plus paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program and 2 years of prior experience as a corporate paralegal are preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
