The candidate will be responsible for: preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, stock certificates and other securities, buy-sell agreements, closing papers and binders, deeds, and trust instruments for review, approval, and use by lawyer(s); obtaining tax identification numbers; preparing inventories, accounts, petitions, and pleadings; performing investment analysis and routine trust accounting; maintaining creditors and security of a decedent's homestead; drafting affidavits, statements, schedules, settlements, orders, tax returns, and petitions; and maintaining estate records, bank accounts, and investments. A two-year degree in paralegal studies or NALA (National Association of Legal Assistants) certification is required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or university plus paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program and 2 years of prior experience as a corporate paralegal are preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
