Summary: Responsible for providing actuarial technical support to customer service to calculate/illustrate/quote/validate policy values for life insurance products.
Organizational Structure: This position reports to an off-site director Kurt Ozier and interacts with team members in Nashville, Springfield and Houston. This position is located in Nashville, TN. Relocation system is available.
Performance Objectives:
1. Run proposals and re-proposals for universal life and interest sensitive policies.
2. Performs special assignments or projects as directed by management.
3. Gather, compile, and analyze data for policies with TAMRA/TEFRA guideline violation.
4. Provides technical cross-training in unit, including documentation of calculations and procedures.
5. Learn, utilize, adapt/improve improve tools for the purpose of supporting illustrations. Learn, understand and be prepared to function as SME on Life Ins products/system functions. The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
1. Bachelor's degree in math, actuarial science, accounting or related field and two years' experience in an actuarial support capacity or other equivalent experience OR six years relevant work experience in the life insurance industry. Requires strong math & accounting knowledge.
2. Good analytical skills. Routinely responsible for research & analysis of information for all illustrations. Requires the development of in-depth understanding of universal and interest sensitive life products as well as participating whole life. Must be able to analyze complex illustrations & other calculations. Eventual successful completion of FLMI 280 & 290, & Customer Service (ACS) course and knowledge of life insurance products.
3. Good organizational skills. Must research & interpret IRS rules and regulations as they pertain to duties. Will determine what illustrations need to be run and exercise appropriate judgment in setting priorities and reasonable response to individual work requests.
4. Professional verbal & written communication skills.
5. Proficient knowledge of PC & Windows including advanced Microsoft Excel. American International Group, Inc. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
