The _Site Director, Operations and Change Management_ leads and implements the span of operations, logistics, change management, contract implementation, and supply expense management associated with the resource and supply management function for the purpose of achieving the objectives set forth by The Resource Group and Nashville General Hospital. The Site Director is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of The Resource Group's Accelerated Realization Model to ensure that Nashville General Hospital is provided with consistent, high quality, and cost-effective operations with respect to contract conversion, procurement, inventory management, logistics, operations, and supply distribution functions.
Additionally, the Site Director coordinates with The Resource Group and Nashville General Leadership to implement and monitor goals, policies, and procedures as well assists in the preparation of long and short-term supply expense goals and financial metrics.
The Site Director carries out all responsibilities in accordance with The Resource Group and Nashville General Hospital's core values, applicable policies, procedures, and civil laws, as well as the Ascension Corporate Responsibility Program and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
POSITION DIMENSIONS:
? Administers and oversees all resource and supply management activities resulting in annual organization-wide expenses of over $20 million annually
? Ensures coordination and implementation of supply, service, information technology, and capital equipment contracts with The Resource Group
? Leads all resource and supply management associates, providing a format for growth and development of associates
? Oversees ongoing implementation and maintenance of all Resource Group contracts, policies, processes, recruiting, Solutions, and infrastructure
? Leads and supports the delivery of The Resource Group's Accelerated Realization Model at Nashville General Hospital
? Ensures delivery of Supply Expense Metrics for Nashville General Hospital
(Supply Cost as a % of Net Patient Service Revenue and Supply Cost per Equivalent Discharge)
### QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
A Baccalaureate degree is _required._
Master's degree in business, business administration, health administration, marketing, engineering, or related field is _preferred._

Experience:
Eight to ten years of experience in healthcare consulting, operations, or related function required.
Supervisory experience required; minimum of 5 years preferred
Supply chain legacy operating system experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupation Health and Safety Association (OSHA) and Department of Health guidelines and regulations are extremely important.
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences is essential.
Certification with ISM, APICS, Healthcare Resource Management, CPM, or CPIM a plus.
Excellent analytical and process improvement skills.
Familiarity with computers, purchasing, inventory and distribution systems is _ essential. _

### RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Leads the _Deliver_ phase of The Resource Group's _Develop, Deploy, Deliver_ Model
1. Coordinates with the Solution Integration & Acceleration team to transition and lead ongoing contract conversions and implementation of initiatives based on The Resource Group's Accelerated Realization Model
2. Engages end-users (e.g. physicians, clinicians, leaders, and professors) in change management efforts as well as coordinates and facilitates participation and representation in national Decision Teams and Affinity Groups
3. Utilizes analytics to prioritize and implement contract conversions in order to achieve the greatest value for Nashville General Hospital
4. Engages end-users to identify the required product or service attributes in preparation for contracting efforts
5. Acts as a key Resource Group representative and resource for physicians, leadership, associates, professors, etc.
6. Provides ongoing and timely communication, training, and resources for new initiatives or contracts
7. Acts as a key developer of The Resource Group's Accelerated Realization Model offering; documents learnings and processes, coordinates internal development, and shares learnings, best practices, and methodologies across The Resource Group
2. Manages the operational functions, specifically focused on the following:
1. Introduces, implements, and manages compliance with The Resource Group's operational processes and initiatives.
2. Implements logistical strategies, including non-acute (medical/surgical and pharmaceuticals), small parcel, and acute care (medical/surgical and pharmaceuticals, courier services)
3. Monitors and reports monthly on operational progress using The Resource Group's and Nashville General Hospital's metrics.
4. Provides for minimal inventory levels while maintaining maximum scope of product category inclusion. Ensures that asset levels are monitored, measured, and reported annually.
5. Manages all supply management processes throughout the facilities, ensuring consistent provision of inventory to clinical and academic departments, with agreed upon levels of supply inventories and that all products are of acceptable quality.
6. Manages operational performance and maintains adherence to established budget guidelines for respective departments.
7. Directs support managers and oversees the professional growth and development of all direct reports. Actively manages staff personnel and assures that each is treated with respect and fairness and that each is provided with tools and knowledge to perform their duties.
8. Serves as a facilitator of local Decision Teams and/or other committees as required. Assist all customers in obtaining supplier, product and pricing information.
9. Develops and administers capital, salary and non-salary budgets for assigned areas. Maintains account within or below budgets. Monitors work processes and initiates improvement based upon data measures and continuous improvement.
3. Exercises responsible stewardship of finance and human resources.
1. Acts as a supporting resource to Finance for all supply, service, and capital expense related needs.
2. Measures and reports operational metrics on departmental/facility/organization-wide levels and participates in benchmarking on an area and national level.
3. Prepares and submits budgets on all managed cost centers in a timely manner and in accordance with instructions from the budget office.
4. Operates department within budget parameters consistent with volume variances.
5. Justifies budget variances as necessary.
6. Uses overtime prudently and monitors as required.
7. Monitors and adjusts supply costs, staff mix and productivity to achieve optimum use of resources.
8. Organizes and attends mandatory inservices.
4. Supports quality service through proper organization, staffing, resource utilization and work allocation within managed departments.
1. Facilitates proper education and training, as well as provides and written policies and procedures all new associates. Follow up training and education is conducted at least annually.
2. Staffs departments with qualified associates with appropriate mix of skills to ensure quality service standards.
3. Structures work to accomplish quality service objectives.
4. Delegates tasks to efficiently get the job done while maintaining quality of service.
5. Implements procedures to monitor processes, tasks, or job activities and responsibilities of associates.
6. Provides supplies and equipment for associates to complete their job.
7. Supports safety goals and engages in corrective action plans where appropriate.
8. Develop and monitor performance improvement activities to evaluate and promote improvements in the quality of services provided by the department.
5. Achieves and maintains professional development and competence in the field of management.

4. Works with operations team to continuously improve and update skills by establishing an annual development plan tailored to each member's specific needs.
5. Continuously improves and updates own leadership and professional skills by working with supervisor to establish an annual development plan.

10. Administers the performance management program for all associates.
1. Performance plans, job specifications, and essential functions are developed according to performance management program guidelines, reviewed with associate and updated, if needed, on at least an annual basis.
2. Performance standards and expectations are clearly communicated with all associates.
3. Coaching and feedback of associates are continuous throughout the year.
4. Documentation of performance, both positive and negative, is maintained on all associates.
5. Progressive counseling, as needed, is used consistently and fairly with all associates.
6. Appraisals completed and reviewed in conjunction with the associates by established review dates.
