Research, test and design high-speed sensing and sortation equipment for secondary plastics, waste, recycling and other applicable industries.
Research and evaluate emerging x-ray, visible, IR and/or far IR sensing technologies.
Integrate and/or develop new technologies for high-speed sensing sortation equipment.
Design and develop both software and hardware prototypes.
Design and develop algorithms for material identification and sortation.
Design, develop and perform testing procedures.
Review relevant patent and/or scientific literature.
Prepare and present reports, reviews and summaries.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Physics. Ph.D in Computer Science, Engineering or Physics preferred. Previous experience in optical, opto-mechanical, opto-electric, analog and digital circuit designs a plus. Must possess strong analytical skills with solid mathematical and engineering background. Demonstrated proficiency in MatLab programming and numerical modeling and simulation experience required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Experience programming embedded systems and/or other programming languages (i.e. C/C++, Python, Lua) a plus.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
