The candidate should preferably have 5+ years of experience as a legal secretary, have administrative experience, exceptional communication and organization skills, the ability to work effectively within a group or independently, have federal e-filing knowledge, proficiency in MS Word, Outlook and Excel and type 65+ wpm with high accuracy. Litigation experience a plus. Responsibilities include preparing legal documents and correspondence, court filings, scanning, coordinating meetings, time entry, digital transcription, running conflicts, opening and maintaining client files, processing client bills and expense reimbursements.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
