ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a growing and dynamic organization in the Property Management industry located in Nashville; they are looking to hire a Property Accounting Manager. The company has been around since the 1950s and offers stability and growth.
Responsibilities of the Property Accounting Manager include:
Responsible for the accuracy and supporting documentation of the financial statements
AP Balances, AR Balances, Pre-Paid Expenses, Accruals, AR Reserve
Completes Monthly Accruals and verifies accrual balance on a monthly basis
Enters in all proper entries for Prepaid Expenses, Accruals, AR Reserve and any other necessary accounting entries to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements
Reviews the monthly financial statements prior to their submission to the client
Maintains and enters depreciation entries
Generates any necessary filing of rental/sales tax submissions
Bank Reconciliations
Responsible for the monthly submission of reports to Property Management and Client
Answers any questions pertaining to the accounting of the financial statements
Directly Represents the Accounting Function of the property management firm
Enters the leases into MRI
Ensures the accuracy of the Suite No, Building, Square Footage, Begin/End Dates in MRI
Monitors, Tracks, Reviews and Invoices Base Rent, Additional Rent, Late Fees, and any other financial obligation of the tenant
CPI, Step, Late Fees, Tenant Improvements, Etc
Tenant Improvement Invoicing is supported by the Construction Department
Ensures the accuracy of the total building and a proper representation of the occupancy, size, and vacancies.
Provides Peer Review on other Accountant's Portfolio
Reviews, approves, and posts the daily cash receipts provided by the .
Ensures the accuracy of the cash receipt application
Generates weekly AR Reports to Property Management
Generates monthly late and default letters
Notifies Property Management when certain action needs to be taken in accordance with Client's policies and procedures
Reviews the weekly accounts payable batches
Ensures the accuracy of the coding, allocations, and entry of the invoices into MRI
Approves weekly accounts payable batches for payment
Experience for the Property Accounting Manager include:
Bachelor's Degree or Accounting related experience of 4
years
Leasing related experience a plus
Advanced Excel Skills
MRI real estate software experience preferredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
