Gannett Fleming's Transportation Operations Practice is seeking an ITS Inspector for construction engineering and inspection (CEI) contracts in Nashville TN.
The ITS Inspector is responsible for daily field inspection, material and equipment verification, and testing related to construction engineering and inspection (CEI) projects. Reviews plans for erosion control. Also oversees maintenance of traffic during roadway work. Performs quantity tracking for installation of all intelligent transportation systems (ITS) devices, such as closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, dynamic message signs (DMSs), microwave vehicle detection systems (MVDSs), signal controller and tolling equipment. Provides as-builts.
Required:
High School Graduate or equivalent
A valid driver's license
Three (3) years of experience in transportation construction/maintenance inspection, one (1) year of which shall have been in ITS construction/maintenance inspection.
Preferred:
Experience with the following FiberOptic Cable Installation Inspection and OTDR Fiber Testing;
Familiarity with the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) standard specifications.
Familiarity with Site Manager
DMS Operation and Testing; Controller Operation and Testing; and CCTV Installation, Operation and Testing
Familiarity with Existing Communication Equipment and Switches
TMC Operations
Strong understanding of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel)
