Accounting Assistant-Temporary Employee
The Accounting Department is seeking a part time temporary Accounting Assistant who will report to the Controller, play a key departmental role by supporting the expense reimbursement process, and perform a variety of administrative Accounting Department duties.
Responsibilities
Assist in verifying that consultant employees have adhered to all travel and expense reimbursement policies through the monthly audit of expense reports, including tracing of receipt documentation to the expense reports as needed
Assist in processing employee expense reports
Ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness to meet specified deadlines
Assist with maintaining client files and document retention
Be able to assist other team members with their duties to meet deadlines as needed
Other duties as assigned
Basic
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Shows initiative and discretion
Effective verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and clients to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
