Position
Summary:
Manage and/or participates in all aspects of a low to moderately complex project where the business risk is low to moderate, or may be assigned a portion of a larger project. Develops project schedules, identifies needed resources, and coordinates project team activities. Manages one or more projects at a time using own project plan depending on size of project.
Performs project planning and execution.
Works with vendors, internal client management, stakeholders and project team members to define and refine project objectives and tasks.
Defines project scope, resource requirements, budget, timeline, deliverables and milestones: evaluates various courses of action on an ongoing basis and selects the best alternative to attain project goals.
Manages projects through all phases of the development life cycle, including project initiation, project requirements and specifications, design, construction, testing, installation and post implementation review.
Identifies/reviews organization's risk management policies and procedures, assesses stake holder's risk tolerance levels and identifies preliminary risk for project viability. Maintains focus on project plan tasks, manages risks throughout the project life cycle, and makes contingency plans to manage issues that pose risk to budget, time delivery or functionality. Balances identified risk against project benefits.
Determines the detailed information requirements of the project stakeholders and the project/organization, develops feedback routines to ensure two-way communication. Determines the requirements for project time reporting, develops a communications management plan, and establishes project status reporting process and cycle.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Position Requirements
The Ideal Candidate will have:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in technical project role (e.g. QA analyst, software developers, Business Systems Analysts).
1-2 years of experience as project manager or technical project lead.
Professional certification in program or project management from Project Management Institute (PMI) or other recognized certifying authority preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Knowledge of development methodologies, project planning and risk/issue management.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, & time management skills.
Familiar with System Development Life Cycle.
Familiarity with Project management Software applications such as Microsoft Project and HP Project & Portfolio Management (PPM).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
