is currently hiring a
Event Management Analyst.
Responsibilities include: Supports and assists event management and conference services with support of Consolidated Inventory (CI) processes, changes and training. Forecasts all group and local catering. Manages and develop group rooms and catering revenue projections through individual groups in CI. Functions as primary CI system liaison between hotel departments. Manages the implementation, testing and training of CI system changes and updates, as required. Forecasts definite group room revenue, Average Daily Rate (ADR) and group catering revenue. Performs daily audit of checks and of invoices to maintain and verify accuracy. Reviews contracts and verifies that all rooms information, attrition, minimum and clauses are correct.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the event management or related professional area.
OR
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 1 year experience in the event management or related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Supporting Event Management Operations
Maintains an in-depth working knowledge of the affected departments, business functions, policies and procedures as it relates to the support of Consolidated Inventory (CI) and verifies that the users properly maintain information (CI) for continuous data integrity.
Maintains up-to-date education and working knowledge of CI procedures and enhancements in order to develop conduct and manage frontline support and training for key operators and staff members in each department utilizing CI.
Manages and develop group rooms and catering revenue projections through individual groups in CI.
Manages group rooms and catering revenue projections for definite groups in CI
Manages Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), Event Orders and Convention Resume process in CI for compliance
Functions as primary CI system liaison between hotel departments.
Manages the implementation, testing and training of CI system changes and updates, as required.
Supports and assists event management and conference services with support of Consolidated Inventory (CI) processes, changes and training.
Performing Financial Forecasting and Analyses
Maintains a 13 month rolling pace on catering revenues and group outlet revenues.
Forecasts all group and local catering.
Forecasts definite group room revenue, Average Daily Rate (ADR) and group catering revenue.
Prepares off-site event forecast for Food and Beverage (F&B) team.
Performs daily audit of posted revenues versus expected revenues.
Performs daily audit of checks and of invoices to maintain and verify accuracy.
Collects all invoices, Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) and checks for forecasted concessions to verify that all expenses are given to Sales and processed in the designated month.
Prepares analysis of forecast versus actual.
Verifies that all catering concessions are documented.
Additional Responsibilities
Provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
Manages time and possesses organizational skills.
Presents ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner.
Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
