Ascension Information Services (AIS) located at Saint Thomas Health in Nashville, TN is searching for an IT Applications Manager. This role will be responsible for a team working on both the implementation of new application functions and ongoing support of the hospital information systems, specifically around patient financial, HIM and related applications including Cerner, Siemens Invision and Patcom Optimum. The team is also responsible for integrating and supporting other hospital applications.
Manage team of 11 analysts
Interact with internal customers and other IT leaders and associates
Plan and execute upgrades
Develops all resource and manpower plans for the area
Directs, develops, and presents to management various
analyses (e.g., organizational, systems, feasibility,
cost/benefit studies, implementation plans)
Ensures resources are in place and operating effectively
within the technical discipline
Establishes plans and prioritizes initiatives
Integrates internal and external resources
Determines staff levels
Develops skills of staff through coaching and other work assignments
Assigns work, monitors work quality and reviews output
Makes hiring recommendations

Bachelor's degree in information systems or business
Minimum 5 years information systems applications experience in a healthcare setting
Proven management experience leading implementation teams, and support teams post-implementation
